Level 3 Award in Dog Grooming

This qualification is made up of theoretical and practical units related to canine health and wellbeing and maintaining dogs’ coats. This qualification is suitable for those need to develop an awareness of Prevent Duty and can then progress to a deeper understanding. It provides a basic introduction to dog grooming as either an owner, animal care profession or hobbyist. This qualification has been designed for learners who wish to learn the maintenance of several types of dog breeds and understand health and safety in a dog grooming salon. Progression Routes: On successful completion of the Level 3 Award Introduction to Dog Grooming, learners may progress onto the Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming or the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. Entry requirements: Learners should be aged 16 or above and be comfortable around dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments. Assessment method(s): Assessment is through a Portfolio of Evidence/Workbook
