Level 3 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants

This Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming has been designed for those who wish to learn the basic cuts and trims to be able to work in a grooming salon. The qualification covers assessing, planning, and recording grooming work, health checking dogs prior to grooming and essential first aid. The qualification is made up of a range of theoretical and practical units related to canine health and wellbeing and cutting and trimming dogs’ coats. Progression Routes: On successful completion of the Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming, learners may progress onto the Level 3 Diploma, any other Level 3 Canine care qualification or directly into employment in a dog grooming salon or similar environment. Entry requirements: Learners should be aged 16 and over and be comfortable around dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments.
